THIS IS NOT A SIGN was an open ended project given to year 3 graphic design students at Willem de Kooning Academy as the year end project. Students were given the phrase "sign pollution" with an essay "Vervuilde Tekens" (translated as "sign pollution) as references.

The result of my project was reserach into the semiotics and meaning of "sign" and "pollution". The poster was a narrative of my experience with the project, through lost in translation of language and the how meaning is skewed through those conditions.

Hand rendered typography and digital type, silk screened on A0 paper ( 841 x 1189 mm)
